Breaking out of old habits, especially in fundraising, can be risky. But the rewards can be oh so… well, rewarding. Just ask our friends at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho.
To help them refresh, rebrand and sustain their annual fundraising efforts, SOVRN contributed game changing strategic, conceptual and implementation services to the 2014 Magical Moments event. By re-envisioning the format and the theme of this major fundraising event, we gave donors an opportunity to test their skills and pick up some pointers while mingling with local sports figures and mentors.
The event surpassed expectations and exceeded fundraising goals by over 25%. A seemingly small increase with a big impact – compared to the 30 kids they were able to sponsor last year, BBBS is now able to get over 150 kids off their sponsorship waiting lists and into meaningful matches with local adult volunteers.
